Social Narratives

Definition:  Using narratives that describe social situations by highlighting relevant cues and offering examples of appropriate responses (Wong, 2013). This practice may include:

  • Cartooning
  • Comic-strip conversations
  • Power cards
  • Social autopsy
  • Scripts/social scripting
  • Social Stories (Wragge, 2011)
