What We Do

The TASN Autism and Tertiary Behavior Supports project (ATBS) mission is to:

  • Develop local agency capacity to serve students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other complex needs through supporting high-quality implementation of evidence-based practices that maximize positive outcomes.  Our activities that lead to improving outcomes include:
    • Working directly with agency administrators and staff teams to identify the agency goals and resources that meet the diverse needs of students with ASD and complex needs.
    • Supporting administrators and teams to analyze gaps in those resources.
    • Coaching administrators and teams to develop a systematic plan to address the professional development needs of staff who serve students with ASD and other complex needs.
    • Engaging teams and agencies to implement their targeted professional development plan and apply evidence-based practices through the development of internal agency-wide coaches.
    • Supporting teachers and staff to implement evidence-based practices with fidelity
