Connecting Resources and Links

Connecting resources provide information and activities that are complementary and aligned with the work of the Kansas Learning Network. If you do not find what you are looking for, please look for the big blue Request Assistance button on the TASN homepage Based on your request, we will be able to connect you with appropriate resources.

Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA): The Kansas Learning Network utilizes the needs assessment that is required as a part of the Kansas Education Systems Accreditation to underpin continuous school improvement.  This link provides access to information about KESA. 

Kansas Multi-Tier System of Supports & Alignment (MTSS): Districts who have Comprehensive Support and Improvement Schools participating in the Kansas Learning Network receive intensive supports that assist schools in their implementation of an MTSS. This link provides access to information about the Kansas MTSS.

Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC): Kansas Learning Network relies on districts and schools providing a system component to support effective family engagement. The Kansas Parent Information Resource Center provides information, training, and support to educators and families in developing and implementing effective family engagement practices.

Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Career Standards and Assessment Services (CSAS): Ensuring all students have access to curriculum and instruction aligned with the Kansas Standards is fundamental to continuous school improvement. At the Kansas State Department of Education, support for the implementation of Kansas Standards comes from the Career Standards and Assessment Services team. This link provides access to information from the CSAS team.

 

KansaSTAR: Is the web-based application that is used by Comprehensive Support and Improvement Schools to document school improvement activities and progress. Training videos for KansaSTAR can be found on this KSDE webpage.
