Secondary teachers can create effective settings for their students using school wide PBIS. This includes the use of reinforcement systems. Yet, without systems of support (e.g., teams, administration), long-term efforts may become frustrated. Systems data can help teams concentrate their efforts on effective PBIS implementation. Topics for this presentation include (a) developing staff's understanding of key behavior principals, (b) developing buy-in in secondary settings, (c) developing healthy school wide teams, and (d) using data to make decisions.
