Course description
Join us to empower families to support resilient learners in the home. Teaching self-efficacy increases our children’s willingness to try challenging tasks, correct mistakes, focus on their effort, and engage in learning (see the Self-Efficacy Infographic).
This free 1-hour virtual workshop is designed for teachers and counselors of students in Grades K–12. We will explore a parent training process and materials which are free to all Kansas educators, including instructional activities and strategies that guide students to increase their self-efficacy. Materials include lessons (download for free).
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
- Explore instructional activities that teach parents to help their children focus on their effort, correct mistakes, believe that they can succeed, and engage in learning.
- Plan opportunities to teach self-efficacy in their homes.
Refund Policy
Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
