Course description

Kansans Can Competency Framework

Join us to empower families to support resilient learners in the home. Teaching self-efficacy increases our children’s willingness to try challenging tasks, correct mistakes, focus on their effort, and engage in learning (see the Self-Efficacy Infographic).

This free 1-hour virtual workshop is designed for teachers and counselors of students in Grades K–12. We will explore a parent training process and materials which are free to all Kansas educators, including instructional activities and strategies that guide students to increase their self-efficacy. Materials include lessons (download for free).

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

  1. Explore instructional activities that teach parents to help their children focus on their effort, correct mistakes, believe that they can succeed, and engage in learning.
  2. Plan opportunities to teach self-efficacy in their homes.

Refund Policy

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
