Kansans Can Competency Framework

Join us to empower students to better self-regulate (see the Self-Regulation Infographic).

This free 45-minute virtual workshop is designed for teachers and counselors of students in Grades K–12. Explore resources that are free to all Kansas educators, including instructional activities, performance-based observations, and strategies that guide students to self-regulate. Due to confidentiality, no recordings will be provided after this real-time virtual event.

Materials that will be provided include lessons: Heger, E., Noonan, P. M., & Gaumer Erickson, A. S. (2025). Self-regulation lessons [Primary, Intermediate and Secondary] [Teacher lessons and student workbook]. College & Career Competency Framework.

Learning Objectives

Participants will:

  1. Explore instructional activities that teach students to self-regulate.
  2. Reflect on their students’ needs using performance-based data.
  3. Plan opportunities to teach self-regulation in their classrooms/roles.

Refund Policy

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
