Course description
Join us to empower students to know how they usually respond to conflicts, recognize the reasons behind specific conflicts, and take steps to resolve conflicts. Teaching conflict management increases students’ social skills and peer relationships while reducing bullying and aggression (see the Conflict Management Infographic).
This free, 1-hour, virtual workshop is designed for teachers and counselors of students in Grades 3–6. Explore resources that are free to all Kansas educators, including instructional activities, performance-based observations, and strategies that guide students to use conflict management. Due to confidentiality, no recordings will be provided after this real-time, virtual event.

Learning Objectives
Participants will:
- Explore instructional activities that teach students 10 strategies to better manage conflicts.
- Reflect on their students’ needs using performance-based data.
- Plan opportunities to teach conflict management in their classrooms/roles.
Refund Policy
Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
