Kansas Teachers of Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists Preparation and Mentorship

Process for Applying for Funding through the Project:

1. Choose the certification you are seeking (TSVI and/or COMS).
2. Confirm a special education director is currently seeking a TSVI and/or COMS and make the director aware of the 30% required.
   • Reach out to program staff to ask any additional questions you may have about the program and set up a time to interview for funding approval.

3. Once the interview and acceptance for funding are complete, apply to UNL. Please note: There are deadlines, so please reach out to the university to find out. Remember to ask questions if you are having issues with the application process.

4. Once you have been accepted into a university TSVI or COMS program, send your letter of acceptance to Menely Hogan.
5. Complete the TASN Reimbursement Agreement (which will be provided by Menely Hogan), including signatures from director and program staff.
