Considerations for Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) is a guidance document provided by KSDE in July of 2017. The purpose of this document is to help define specially designed instruction as it relates to children with exceptionalities in Kansas. This document serves as guidance for IEP teams, administrators, educators and practitionersas they determine the need for, plan, and implement specially designed instruction (SDI) for students withexceptionalities who require an Individualized Education Program (IEP).
