Self-Care for Educators to Improve Student Outcomes Online Modules

This 30-minute online module is designed to equip educators with a comprehensive understanding of self-care principles and strategies to effectively manage the demands and stressors inherent in the school environment. Through a series of interactive modules, participants will delve into key concepts such as Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, the impact of self-care on both students and educators, and practical steps for implementing a personalized self-care plan. By the end of the training, educators will have the knowledge and tools necessary to prioritize their well-being, enhance job satisfaction, and cultivate a healthier school culture.

 

Learning Objectives:

 

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs by matching the need to the question that can be asked to assess what need needs met.

  2. Demonstrate comprehension of the impact self-care has on students and educators by selecting the correct examples.

  3. Demonstrate knowledge of self-care strategies to support educators in managing daily demands and stressors in a school setting.

  4. Demonstrate knowledge of the steps of the Self-Care for Educators Implementation Cycle by matching the step to the description of the step.

  5. Demonstrate comprehension of how to implement the self-care implementation plan by selecting the correct procedures.
