This two-part series will discuss issues surrounding autism and mental health. In Part 1,  Robert Cox, MA, PLPC, NCC, will discuss differential diagnosis and autism. Differential diagnosis is the distinguishing of a particular diagnosis or condition from others that present similar clinical features. During this webinar, Robert will discuss the co-occurring conditions, and the differences between autism and these conditions, as well as treatment options.

Learner Objectives:

After viewing this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • List the major diagnostic criteria for autism
  • List the common co-morbid disorders known to appear with autism
  • Distinguish between the major co-morbid disorders and autism as a primary diagnosis
  • Distinguish between trauma and autism
