Kansas Assistive Technology Guide

The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide was created in response to a need expressed by Kansas school administrators and educators for high-quality examples of the processes that individual school districts and IEP teams can use to provide legal, effective, and ethical assistive technology (AT) services.  Development of the guidance is led by Kansas Inclusive Teaching and Learning project and approved by Kansas State Department of Education SETS March 5, 2024. The KS AT Guide is reviewed and updated annually.

The Kansas Assistive Technology Guide can be customized and tailored to local services. The guide is envisioned as a starting point for the development of a specific agency’s AT services. Any part of the guidelines can be copied or revised for use by an individual program or agency. Do you have an idea or suggestion to make the guide more useful? Please provide feedback or suggestions on the guide feedback form.
