The Co-Teaching Training and Coaching project strand is a part of the Kansas Inclusive Learning and Teaching project by Infinitec. Co-Teaching establishes trainers and coaches across the state to help schools implement effective and sustainable co-teaching and coaching practices. The research-based model of co-teaching was created by three national experts, Drs. Richard Villa, Jacquelin Thousand, and Ann Nevin. We expand evidence-based instructional practices that support teachers in personalizing students’ learning and increasing positive outcomes.
The Co-Teaching and Coaching project strand builds capacity through a cohort of state level trainers who provide training and ongoing in-district coaching to educators, supporting them to become proficient in the use of co-teaching and inclusive high-quality instructional practices. We offer a year-long Professional Development opportunity with training, on-site observation, and coaching support. For information about the 2025-2026 application, contact Melynda Kaifes.
