This workshop invites educators to deepen their understanding of how trauma and chronic stress influence both personal well-being and professional practice. Participants explore how these experiences can shape emotional regulation, relationships, and overall effectiveness in the classroom, and gain insight into the importance of prioritizing their own well-being as a foundation for sustainable teaching.
Through guided reflection and practical application, educators identify and experience strategies that support personal wellness. Activities include developing individualized plans that promote balance, resilience, and ongoing self-care within the demands of the profession.
The second day introduces accessible, neuroscience-informed practices that strengthen resilience in children and youth and help remove barriers to learning. Educators consider how these approaches can be integrated into everyday classroom routines to create supportive, responsive learning environments.
