Course description

What would it take to provide reading instruction that would ensure that every student becomes a successful reader? Planning for and providing high-quality reading instruction can be a daunting task. Join the MTSS State Trainers as we dive deeper into best practices for reading instruction while making direct connections to a multi-tier system of supports. Topics will include how to strengthen your core reading instruction using the latest reading research and evidence-based instructional practices and how to use progress monitoring data to intensify instruction for students in intervention. We will also look more closely at reading strategies specific to the secondary reader and meeting the needs of special populations within your MTSS framework.
