In this session, we will explore imagination as the very foundation of reality. Imagination is
reality in its earliest stage of manifestation—everything we now call “real” was first imagined.
Accessing the power of imagination is one of the key benefits of strengthening the
parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).
Too often, we imagine from fear states: worrying about the future or replaying the past. These
thought processes still engage the imagination, but from a place of protection rather than
possibility. How can we begin to integrate imagination from a safe, social, and regulated state of
consciousness?
The language we use with ourselves plays a central role. Our self-talk shapes our state of
consciousness and colors how we see the world. Think of it as a mental camera: it can clarify or
distort reality. In this session, we will examine how our inner voices can either support or
sabotage us. A guiding question will be: “Are you your own best friend or your harshest inner
critic?”
By observing and tracking the words we speak to ourselves throughout the day, we begin to
notice patterns that influence our nervous system. This practice can gently shift us from
protective states into ones of growth, resilience, and connection.
This is session two in a three part series, next up is the last session:
Session Three: Momentum and Visualization - April 16, 2026, 4:00pm – 5:30pm CST
1. Explain how imagination influences emotion and daily experience.
2. Evaluate how self-talk impacts nervous system states and perception of the external
world.
3. Practice grounding, pausing, and reframing to shift consciousness toward safety, ease,
and confidence.
