Find out about the I-Transition Application tool that the Disability Rights Center has developed to assist in post school planning.
The iTransition Kansas App is an innovative idea to increase self-determination/self-advocacy in students with disabilities as they participate in their transition planning process. In this hands-on session, participants will learn about the iTransition App and how it is being used in practice through the lens of both educators and students. The session will include demonstration and exploration of the app. By using the app, students’ postsecondary planning becomes individualized to their future plans, as they and their family become more engaged in the planning process in a way they feel comfortable and confident. The application aligns with IDEA postsecondary transition planning requirements and produces a report that supports the Pre-Employment Transition Service (Pre-ETS) of self-advocacy skill development under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
