Course description

This training is designed to provide any professional working with children birth through kindergarten entry a basic understanding of the Ages and Stages Questionnaires ASQ:3 and ASQ:SE-2 and how to partner with families to complete developmental screenings. The training incorporates family studies, practice with evaluation and scoring along with an overview of ASQ Online access. Participants will also learn how to discuss screening results, next steps, and referrals to community resources with families.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe features of ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2
  • Learn to score ASQ-3
  • Describe and interpret cutoff scores
  • Discuss appropriate follow-up and referrals
  • Review guidelines for introducing screening and discussing screening results
