Turning Feedback into Action: Leveraging the Family Engagement Survey (FES–2)

This webinar from Dr. Jane Groff provides an overview of the Kansas Family Engagement Survey (FES–2) and how district and school leadership teams use the results. Additional resources are available on ksdetasn.org/kpirc/family-engagement-survey.

The Family Engagement Survey–2 (FES–2), developed in collaboration with the Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC), is based on the national PTA's standards for family–school partnerships, which are endorsed by the Kansas State Board of Education. All districts should send the FES–2 survey link to all families in their district at a single point in time (typically in February or in association with spring parent–teacher conferences). Dissemination should include district-provided early childhood programs, virtual schools, alternative schools, and 18–21 programs.
