IEP Boot Camp

This is a one-day training designed to focus on the basic IEP requirements of: Preparing for the IEP meeting, PLAAFPs, Measurable Annual Goals, Short-term Objectives, Services, and Secondary Transition. There is a handout that accompanies these slides, that contains activities, resources, and examples.  It would be helpful for the training if you have the IDEA/Gifted File Review Self-Assessment available as a reference.  This document can be downloaded from www.ksde.org on the KIAS page.  This IEP Boot Camp is aligned with the IDEA/File Review Self-Assessment and the Self-Assessment questions are referenced within the relevant IEP content.  The Method for analyzing whether the information in the student’s IEP matches the requirements of the File Review is also included in the notes.  Not all IEP requirements are included in the File Review Self-Assessment, so other content of this training may reflect additional requirements, or court findings, or the results of formal complaints within our state.
