Overview of Student Engagement in a Virtual Setting Webinar Series

Many virtual schools across the state have named concerns with student engagement. While students disengage for a variety of reasons, in the virtual setting disengagement often manifests in limited communication or failure to regularly log-in for coursework. This series will look at how educators can proactively create an engaging virtual learning environment and how they might respond when attempts to be proactive haven't worked.

This video introduces the psychological needs of competence, belonging, usefulness, potency, and optimism as ways to increase student engagement.
