Differentiated Assessment and Grading: Principles, Myths, and Practices Webinar

Differentiated instruction is a nice idea, but what happens when it comes to grading students? Being sensitive to students' readiness levels, interests and learning challenges while holding them accountable for the same standards can be a challenge. What's fair and leads to real student learning? Join us for a candid look at the principles and practicalities of ethical, accurate, and equitable grading. We’ll look at re-do’s/re-takes, formative vs summative assessments, grading special education students in the regular classroom, evidence of learning instead of compliance, alternative assessments, group projects, late work, extra credit, disaggregation, zeroes on the 100-point scale turned into minimum F’s of 50, averaging or not, moving away from the 100-point scale and more. This session has an unusually high incidence of transforming classroom practice. Don't miss it!
