Kansas Instructors for the Deaf Workshop

Kansas Language Assessment Program for Deaf/Hard of Hearing Children

In June, 2016, the Kansas Legislature passed K.S.A. 75-5397e which mandates that every child who is deaf or hard of hearing receive an annual evaluation of their English and American Sign Language (ASL) development.  These assessments are to begin July, 2018.  This workshop will review the components and mandates of the law as well as review the work accomplished by teh Governor's Advisory Committee charged with developing a plan to bring these requirements to fruition.  This is a free conference, lunch provided, but space is limited.
