Making Informed Decisions in MTSS Using Family Engagement Data

Measuring the degree to which families are engaged and then using that data for targeting improvement can be challenging. In this Ignite presentation: the newly developed 15 item Family Engagement Survey (Noonan, Gaumer Erickson, & Groff, 2015) will be shared and how it was used by schools implementing MTSS to survey parents to measure family engagement This data is supplemented by School Impleemntai8on Scales Family domain items completed by instructional staff to provide a complete picture. Data is then used by District and Building Leadership teams to develop and implement their family engagement goals and plans.
