Overview

Welcoming families is the beginning of the partnership between schools and families. This is the gateway to all other family engagement. When families feel welcome, valued and supported by the school, they are more likely to work together with the school in supporting their child’s education.  This webinar will provide information to ensure that all families are reached, welcomed and honored in the learning activities of the school.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe components of a Welcoming Environment in schools
  2. Identify tools to assess a welcoming environment
  3. Plan to assess for a welcoming environment and implement welcoming strategies
