Teacher of the Deaf Endorsement Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Teacher of the Deaf (TOD).  Please find attached the application forms that need to be submitted to Kansas School for the Deaf (KSD).  Please note, there is an application that must be completed by the district or educational cooperative that currently employs the potential candidate.  Deaf Education requires a team approach so it is imperative that the LEA is supportive of this endeavor.  This form can be filled out by any administrator that has the authority to delegate the supports needed for the candidate to successfully complete this program.

Also attached is the admissions checklist for our partner in this program, Valdosta State University (VSU) located in Valdosta, GA.  Contact information for both KSD and VSU are located at the end of the VSU checklist.  Do not hesitate to contact one of us if you have any questions regarding the application process, grant procedures, or the plan of study.  Candidates will be notified if they are accepted into the KSDE TASN Teacher of the Deaf grant project.
