Instruction within Inclusive Learning Environments

The Kansas Infinitec Coalition (KIC) is the result of an enduring partnership of more than 15 years with KSDE. Infinitec stands for Infinite Potential through Technology and is the technology program of UCP Seguin. The mission of Infinitec is to advance independence and promote inclusive opportunities for all students through technology. We are a member-based organization that serves over 1000 school districts in multiple states including more than 80% of school districts in Kansas. Infinitec stands on four pillars of service; professional learning, networking to build capacity, access to expertise, and equipment. Professional learning is delivered through various avenues, such as weekly live webinars, national speakers, and our online classroom. The online classroom offers over 1,000 presentations from experts and practitioners in the field. Topics include paraprofessional training, behavior, autism, assistive technology (AT), reading, writing, and state mandated training. In addition, ENGAGE, our online Learning Management System (LMS), allows the easy assignment and tracking of online classroom content to staff. Furthermore, our Private Content feature allows agencies to integrate internally developed training videos into the Online Classroom and the ENGAGE Training Administration System. Equipment services provide school districts with annual discounted AT purchase options, durable medical equipment (DME) as well as AT equipment rental options. Most Importantly, our coalition builds the capacity of member districts and schools to assist staff and students' success.
