Assistive Technology

Assistive Technology Project Strand

The Assistive Technology project is a part of TASN's High Quality Instruction in Inclusive Learning Environments by Infinitec. The project strand builds capacity within Kansas districts, coops, and agencies to create AT processes that ensure the availability of Assistive Technology to students. These processes include Sustainable AT Teams, training and support for staff and students, and resource knowledge for individuals who work with students.

What We Do

We offer a year-long Professional Development opportunity to build and navigate Sustainable Assistive Technology Services (SATS). SATS training is offered to different educational regions of Kansas each year. Teams that participate will receive 15 hours of professional development through in-person and virtual learning activities. Team self-assess their agency's AT services, create AT goals, review student impact data, develop a three-year plan for AT, and receive virtual coaching with the Kansas AT Lead Facilitator.

Inquire about 2024-2025 team registration.  Contact Paige Buckingham for more information.

We also support families, agencies, and individuals with AT decision-making, problem solving, identifying resources, and support on other questions regarding Assistive Technology. Email Paige Buckingham with any questions.
