Course description

These sessions are designed specifically for special education administrators early in their position (3 or less years) but all are welcome to attend. These sessions provide an opportunity for special education administrators to review KSDE guidance that guides local policies, procedures and how it appears in practice within your agency.  No new guidance is provided during these sessions, only existing KSDE guidance will be referenced to guide activities and discussions. 

If desired, you may register for both the virtual series and the in-person series.

  • Categorical Aide

Learning Objectives

  • Review and application of timely special education requirements
  • Provide opportunities for increased capacity for special education leaders
  • Build collaboration and coordination within special education leadership

Refund Policy

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
