Course description

This three hour in-person seminar assists local McKinney Vento homeless liaisons and their staff to identify homeless students and to meet requirements associated with the McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act as reauthorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)  Topics include:  definition of homeless, transportation issues, unaccompanied homeless youth, and implications for preschool students.  Participants interact with other homeless liaisons and the State coordinator to improve services and to share ideas.  This event fulfills requirements for mandatory professional development.

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
