Explore how technology can empower individuals with diverse needs to overcome barriers and enhance their independence in educational and life transitions. This session will highlight the Quality Indicators for Assistive Technology in Postsecondary Settings (QIAT-PS) tool and explore the new AT and Transition section of the Kansas Assistive Technology Guide. The session is designed for educators, specialists, administrators, and transition coordinators. Empower your students to navigate the path ahead with confidence and independence.
Participants will be able to:
Identify talking points for AT and Transition for teams to consider.
Predict a potential AT barrier for students and the impact on post-secondary success.
Analyze the AT and Transition Case Stories from the Kansas Assistive Technology Guide.
