Course description

The Early Childhood Stabilization Training will support professionals in learning ways to stabilize challenging behaviors to ensure the safety of the child and the classroom.  The techniques and strategies taught throughout the training align with the preventative measures referenced by Emergency Safety Interventions (ESI) Regulations. Participants will learn strategies for supporting and connecting with students who exhibit challenging behaviors by working as a team, analyzing the problem, collecting data, modifying the environment, assigning staff zones, and teaching new skills. The framework for the training is the acronym S-T-A-B-I-L-I-Z-E. For more information regarding the acronym, see the visual on the following page.
