Course description

Using the Kansas Special Education Process Handbook as a guide, this IEP training will focus on the timelines and documentation requirements of the IEP. Veteran and newer teachers alike will benefit from this comprehensive training.  Please bring one of your own current IEPs because significant time will be dedicated to the review and revision of your own IEPs.

Lunch will be on your own.

  2. Identify the legally required components of an IEP 

  3. Plan steps for improving quality of IEPs and legal compliance
