Course description

This professional development is to support teachers and staff that work in different Neglected and Delinquent facilities throughout the state of Kansas. KSDE staff members will present tailored sessions on classroom management, special education, specialized instruction, data collection, and transition services.

Data Collection

  • Explain the purpose of data collection in monitoring requirements for the Neglected or Delinquent program.

  • Design measurable goals and align them with appropriate data collection methods
     
  • Define transition services and explain their role in preparing students for postsecondary outcomes (education/training, employment, independent living).

  • Describe key components of transition plans, including measurable postsecondary goals and transition assessments

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
