Federally Identified Schools (MRI, CSI, ATSI, TSI): What District and Building Leaders Need to Know

Purpose of this time is for: District and Building leaders of Federally Identified buildings to better understand the Identification Letter from KSDE. 

Overall Success Criteria: District and building leaders understand why they were identified, know their responsibilities within the school improvement process, actively engage in improvement work, and implement evidence-based practices that lead to sustainable improvements in student outcomes.

KSDE will explain why each identified building received its MRI, CSI, ATSI, or TSI designation.

• Explain the required components of school improvement, including: Comprehensive Needs Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, Resource Allocation Review, KansaStar Improvement Plan and KESA Alignment.
• Understand the responsibilities of KSDE, District and Building leadership throughout the improvement process and how KLN will support systems through coaching efforts.
• Understand the exit criteria and recognize that improvement is measured through sustained implementation and student outcomes rather than completion of activities alone.
