Participants will learn four assertiveness strategies, how to teach those strategies to educators, and how to support educators in teaching assertiveness using competency coaching techniques. The strategies participants will explore are identify communication types, listen and summarize, speak my mind and be kind, and do my part. Administrators, teachers, counselors, and other support staff in grades K–12 are encouraged to participate in this interactive training where they will learn four assertiveness strategies and practice coaching techniques that will increase educators’ capacity for developing students' respectful communication.
