Course description

This week-long intensive summer immersion program will build knowledge of evidence-based practices and instructional pedagogy for working with students who are deaf/hard of hearing (DHH).  Current candidates enrolled in the Valdosta State University and/or Texas Woman's University teacher of the deaf preparation programs and supported by the TASN TOD grant are eligible to attend.  Registration and room/board costs will be covered by the TASN TOD grant.  Current teachers of the deaf are eligible to apply based on availability as candidates working to obtain an endorsement as a TOD are given first preference.

  • Neurocognitive Research
  • How Deaf Children Learn
  • Bilingual Education for DHH Students

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
