Course description

This training is designed to provide any professional working with children birth through kindergarten an understanding of the Ages and Stages Questionnaires ASQ:3 and ASQ:SE-2 and how to effectively partner with families to complete the developmental screenings. The training incorporates a family study, role playing conversations with caregivers, and interpreting scores. Participants will also learn how to discuss screening results, next steps, and referrals to community resources with families. There is also a brief overview of ASQ Online.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe features of ASQ-3 and ASQ:SE-2
  • Understand the importance of developmental screening
  • Review guidelines for introducing the screenings to caregivers
  • Describe and interpret scores
  • Discuss appropriate follow-up and referrals with caregivers

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
