Course description

IEP 101

This is a basic introductory level IEP training focusing on the basics of writing meaningful and legally compliant IEPs. This workshop is designed for new staff and will go into the basics of writing present level of academic achievement and functional performance (PLAAFPs/Present Levels), measurable annual goals, descriptions of special education services and frequency, location, duration of those services.

**Please plan to have access to an IEP. All required materials will be provided.

Learning Objectives

  • Will be able to describe the timelines associated with IEP meetings
  • Will be able to create meaningful and legally compliant Present Levels statements
  • Will be able to create meaningful and legally compliant Measurable Annual Goals
  • Will be able to create meaningful and legally compliant Descriptions of Special Education Services
  • Will be able to correctly document Frequency, Location, Duration of services on the IEP

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
