Given that phonemic manipulation (analytic) skills arecritical to word learning to read unfamiliar words, thenhow do we teach these skills to older students? Teachersneed strategies to work with students in 2nd grade andabove who are lacking phonemic manipulation skills.This instruction won’t look just like how PA is taughtwith kindergartners. Dr. Hall will share tips and provideinstructional practices and procedures for teaching thesephoneme manipulation skills to older students beyondgrades K-1.
