Course description

With overwhelming amounts of research and suggestions on how the mind learns pulsing through our laptops these days, it is hard to keep up, especially when some of it contradicts itself. Join us for a practical session in which we identify some of the salient elements that have a direct impact on instruction and learning. This session provides multiple tools for meaning making, long-term retention, effective practice, structure, and more. We’ll also give serious attention to the principles and tools of executive function, which is so key to students’ maturation and academic success. Turn your instructional practice into one that truly reflects modern pedagogical effectiveness - learn to teach with your students' minds as your greatest ally.
