About This Session

In this engaging and informative session, Brandon Bean, an experienced educator within the State of Kansas, will lead a discussion on how to leverage the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Framework to elevate student engagement and seamlessly integrate technology to enhance student independence and learning. The primary goal of this session is to empower educators to foster expert learners by expanding student engagement in various academic settings. 

Who Should Attend?

General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Assistive Technology Providers, Related service providers including SLP, vision, OT, Psychologist, etc.


Brandon BeanOur Speaker - Brandon Bean

Brandon Bean is an accomplished educator with a diverse background spanning over eight years in the field of education. With a passion for empowering students and fostering a lover of learning, Brandon has consistently demonstrated his commitment to educational excellence. 

Currently, Brandon serves as a Middle School Mathematics Interventionist for the Derby Public School District, where he focuses on helping students overcome mathematical challenges and reach their full potential. His dedication to making mathematics accessible and engaging for all students is evident in his daily interactions with young learners. 

Brandon is a member of the Infinitec Cadre and helps build capacity throughout the state of Kansas.

 

 

 

Approved for 1 hour of continuing education clock hours for  Kansas licensed Speech-Language Pathologists by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services.
 

Learning Objectives

After completing this session, participants will understand:

  • Understand the key principles of the UDL Framework and its application in enhancing student engagement and technology integration. 
  • Implement strategies to collect and share meaningful data to boost student independence, empowerment, and engagement. 
  • Recognize and address the diverse ways in which students can be engaged and motivated to learn through real world experiences.
