The TASN Evaluation project assists the entire TASN system in designing and implementing an evaluation system that focuses on measuring the effectiveness, implementation, and sustainability of efforts. This ensures that the supports and services accessed by educators via TASN are effective and have a positive impact on staff behavior and student outcomes. The evaluation of the TASN contributes to the continuous improvement of TASN professional development by creating data-informed self-correcting feedback loops. To this end, the TASN evaluation is an ongoing, collaborative process that enhances the expertise of KSDE and TASN providers and builds the data analysis competence of teachers, administrators, and Local Education Agency (LEA) coaches who are charged with implementing evidence-based instructional practices.
The TASN Evaluation project is a contract awarded by the Kansas State Department of Education Special Education and Title Services and administered by Research Collaboration (www.researchcollaboration.org), an evaluation lab at the University of Kansas, Center for Research on Learning.
