Tri-State Webinar: Social Competencies: Implementation Across the Lifespan

The ability to interact successfully with peers and adults may be the most important aspect of development in relation to outcomes as an adult. During this webinar, Gail Ferguson and Lisa Holt will discuss ways educators, related service providers, and families, can support social competencies for students with autism and other complex disabilities by implementing evidence-based strategies at school, at home, and in the community.

Learner Objectives:

After viewing this webinar, participants will:

  • understand the importance of instruction and intervention that supports social competencies for students with autism and other disabilities
  • discuss, describe, and understand social competencies
  • discuss available resources
  • use the implementation cycle to plan instruction for individuals and/or groups.

Gail Ferguson, M.S. Ed., is the Coaching Coordinator for TASN – Autism and Tertiary Behavior Supports.

Lisa Holt, M.S. Ed., is a TASN – Autism and Tertiary Behavior Supports team member.
