Overview

Despite the challenges associated with collecting feedback or data from families, the process provides families with an opportunity to be heard. Being heard and listened to as respected participants in the life of their district/school enhances their feelings of importance in their community. This module addresses strategies to obtain feedback from families and how to use the feedback to improve district/school initiatives.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe how your school/district/classroom currently obtains feedback from families.
  2. Identify the most common ways you collect feedback from your families.
  3. Target a topic area and create a survey, interview or focus group to gain feedback from families.
