Course description
LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) provides educators with a core understanding of language structure and helps them gain in-depth instructional information to complement their teaching practices. LETRS brings deeper knowledge of reading instruction by addressing each component as well as the foundational concepts that link them. The Common Core standards now articulates the level of reading necessary for success in college and career, LETRS focuses on the developmental stepping stones that enable higher levels of achievement. These courses will be a blended learning model with online work along with in class participation.
In LETRS Modules 4-6 participants will learn instructional approaches that address core components of vocabulary, fluency and comprehension reading instruction along with the reasons why many students have reading difficulties.

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
