Course description

Are you a district leader, building administrator, or instructional coach dedicated to driving successful, systematic change? If you are currently scaling Universal Design for Learning (UDL) or preparing for its launch, the Systemic Implementation of Universal Design for Learning online course is designed to provide the strategic roadmap you need. The online course utilizes an asynchronous platform with online discussion and four live virtual sessions on June 2nd, 9th, 16th, and July 21st 10am - 11am via Zoom.

Why Join This Cohort?

This course moves beyond theory by grounding UDL in the principles of Implementation Science. We don't just show you what UDL looks like in a classroom; we provide the framework to ensure your initiative moves successfully through the stages of exploration, installation, and full implementation.

  • Evidence-Based Frameworks: Utilize implementation drivers to ensure your UDL shift is sustainable, scalable, and resilient to "initiative fatigue."

  • Local Expertise: Gain unique insights through exclusive video case studies featuring administrators from across the state of Kansas. Hear their authentic stories, the hurdles they faced, and the "aha" moments that defined their systemic journeys.

  • Collaborative Synergy: Engage in rich, facilitated discussions with the UDL Coaches and a network of Kansas peers who are navigating the same leadership challenges you are.

What to Expect

The course is structured into engaging, self-paced modules that prioritize active implementation. You won't just learn about change—you will design the infrastructure to make it happen.

"Systemic change isn't just about changing what teachers do; it's about changing the systems that support them."

Your UDL Journey book

Ready to lead the shift? Join your colleagues from across Kansas and transform your vision for inclusive education into a sustainable reality.

The course is based on the award winning book Your UDL Journey: A Systems Approach to Transforming Instruction by  Patti Kelly Ralabate & Elizabeth Berquist. Early bird registrants will receive a digital copy of the book.
