Course description

Kansas Assistive Technology Guidance was created in response to a need expressed by many of Kansas’ school administrators and educators for high-quality examples of the processes that individual school districts and IEP teams can use to provide legal, effective, and ethical assistive technology (AT) services. The guide is envisioned as a starting point for the development of a specific agency’s AT services. Any part of these guidelines may be copied or revised for use by an individual program or agency.  

Learning Objectives

Educators will 

• review sections of the Kansas Assistive Technology Guidance
• analyze key procedures for IEP teams to include when considering assistive technology for students 
• design an action plan integrating targeted procedures from Kansas Assistive Technology Guidance
