Children with complex communication needs often get little to no opportunities to develop written language skills.  However, with the use of alternative pencils, and modifications to classroom assignments through assistive technologies, students can be exposed to a wide range of writing experiences that can facilitate the development of language and literacy skills.  

Learning Objectives

Participants will: 

1. compare alternative pencil options for students. 
2. design modifications for participation in classroom assignments. 
3. providing meaningful feedback for individuals using alternative pencils.

Registration may be cancelled up to 14 days prior to the event for a full refund. Cancellations received within 14 days of the event will not be refunded. No-show registrations will also not be refunded.
