Course description

This workshop will be a collaborative discussion on how schools can create a culture of civic engagement. Strategies and resources for encouraging student voice and agency will be the focus. Teachers and administrators will leave with a better understanding of KSDE’s civic engagement initiative and some strategies for improving the culture of engagement in their schools and classrooms. Criteria for the Civic Advocacy Network Award program will also be discussed.
